For those who enjoy the atmosphere of a day spa, but prefer treatments that produce better results, Renaissance Skin Care offers a therapeutic facial, which can be performed in combination with a micropeel.

UltraPulse® Encour™
Ultra Pulse® Encour™ Renaissance Plastic Surgery is the first surgical practice in Michigan to have the Ultra Pulse® Encour™ system. This laser removes fine lines and sun damage with an added benefit of increasing collagen reproduction in your skin. A high energy beam of CO2 light is used to vaporize lines, wrinkles, scars, dark spots and other irregularities. There is minimal down time and treatments are tailored to individual needs. With good skin maintenance you will look better and help to prevent skin cancer.

Laser Hair Removal
Traditional remedies for short-term hair removal include plucking, shaving, waxing, and chemical depilatories. Unfortunately, these procedures are time-consuming, painful, and temporary. Even electrolysis can take several years to remove hair from one small area, and cost thousands of dollars.

Renaissance Skin Care offers a more effective solution—the LightSheer Diode Laser. The most state-of-the-art, advanced system available, the LightSheer was designed to remove dark, coarse, unwanted hair faster and easier. The laser emits a light to be absorbed by the pigment located in hair follicles. The laser pulses, vaporizing the pigment and disabling the follicles, impeding future growth.

This precise laser removes unwanted hair from virtually every part of the body, and proves effective for men and women of all skin colors, with varying session length. In 80 percent of cases, hair is permanently removed in only four to six treatments. With rapid healing and minimal discomfort, most return to normal activity immediately.

Micropeels
Often called the “lunchtime peel” because you can have it done on your lunch hour, the MicroPeel by BioMedic improves the skin’s texture, clarity, and tone, but to a much greater degree than a facial. It takes only 30 minutes to improve the way your skin looks and feels. You can return to your day feeling rejuvenated and looking spectacular.

The MicroPeel is a three-step process that removes the micro-thin layer of dull top skin. The first step is a mini-facial, which involves exfoliating and de-greasing the skin. Next, a glycolic or fruit acid is applied to reduce debris in the pores. The longer it’s applied, and the stronger the potency, the more noticeable the results.

Step three involves the application of a hydrating mask containing an anti-inflammatory ingredient. Left on for approximately five minutes, this mask soothes the skin and helps with any itching or irritation. Once it’s removed, what you’re left with is a healthy complexion.

For those seeking even more noticeable results, the MicroPeel Plus may be the preferred option. Especially beneficial for people with active acne and/or sun damage, this peel utilizes betahydroxy or salicylic acid, which comes from willow tree bark. It is applied the same way as the MicroPeel.


Chemical peels
Chemical peels are relatively aggressive procedures, but the results are truly amazing. Geared toward people with moderate to extensive wrinkling, mild scarring, and sun damage, they offer a 60 to 70 percent reduction in fine lines and wrinkles.

Renaissance Skin Care uses a clay-based trichloroacetic acid (TCA) by Gly Derm. Unlike liquid peels, which are more difficult to apply, the clay-based peel goes on evenly, penetrating multiple layers and resulting in a natural, uniform look.

The patient receives a topical anesthetic to relieve irritation before the peel is applied. The peel removes the damaged outer layer, revealing the healthy skin underneath. The procedure is safe, effective, and typically takes about two hours.

Microdermabrasion
While Power Peel treatments are the leading non-surgical method to help reduce the appearance of fine lines, crow’s feet, and other signs of aging, they are just as effective in the treatment of: sun damage, superficial scars, uneven skin tone, acne, and acne scarring. Over time, this repeated process stimulates the production of a new layer of skin cells, brining with it an increased level of collagen and elastin, which further improves your skin’s appearance. Microdermabrasion can be used on various parts of the body, and it is safe on all skin types.

By gently exfoliating the surface of your skin, microdermabrasion uncovers the fresher, younger-looking skin beneath the surface. The procedure uses a high-speed, rotating brush or diamond-impregnated burr to remove the outermost layers of damaged skin. For the majority of people, six to 12 treatments over one to two weeks will offer the best results. After just one 45-minute treatment, however, your skin will experience increased blood flow and appear noticeably healthier. Microdermabrasion also reduces the production of oil, makes pores appear smaller, and refines uneven skin tones.

For long-term results, doctors recommend that clients continue a maintenance plan. This ensures that your skin remains firm and beautiful for years to come.

Vitamin C with Ultrasound
Using the most stable form of vitamin C on the physician’s market, our aesthetician penetrates the antioxidant into the dermis by means of ultrasound to target free radical damage where it’s formed and to deliver the vitamin straight to the collagen, where it is used by the body to repair elasticity and keep collagen fibers tightly woven. The result is a young and glowing face.
